WhAT we DO?

Objectives

Punarbharan Foundation is a registered non-profit organisation. It is a social entity incorporated in India u/Sec. 8 of The Companies Act, 2013. We deal with individuals, residential societies, and farmers’ groups.

Our main objective is groundwater advocacy through building awareness among communities. When geographically adjoining user groups realise that they are geologically tied to the same aquifers, they develop a sense of oneness between them. Awareness drives the desired behaviour change. Collective action in rainwater harvesting, groundwater recharge and protection of water quality and sustainability of aquifers yields better outcomes. We encourage traditional interaction with groundwater and try to rekindle local wisdom. On the ground, this may result in revival of abandoned dug-wells and discovery of existing freshwater springs.

Our partner organisations generally work for conservation of soil and water and protection of the Environment.: (click to read more)
