About the website

Punarbharan (पुनर्भरण) is a word belonging to Sanskrit-based Indian languages, and translates to recharge. In the context of groundwater, punarbharan implies groundwater recharge. Hindi Wikipedia has a page on the subject titled भूजल पुनर्भरण. In spite of groundwater being the oldest resource known to man, aquifers are less appreciated and more misunderstood. This website is an evolving and collaborative attempt; a work-in-progress towards demystifying groundwater. Feel free to explore, inquire, and challenge. You are welcome to contribute to the cause, help build shared knowledge, or support us in the effort in any way possible.
